Three intrepid volunteers came out to work with Jane Reeve at West Itchenor village pond to cut back vegetation and to allow some newly planted trees to get some light. Despite the poor weather forecast the volunteers were not put off, and we experienced sunshine and blue skies. Our work was monitored by interested and noisy robins, long tailed tits and wrens. We managed to eat some cake!
